Where's the best place to get an ID/register your car? (8)

Today I wasted all manner of time going to multiple places. And I still have no valid driver's license. Where's the most efficient place to go? I'll pay extra to avoid sitting amongst humanity under florescent lights for two hours.

I went 3 times and waited 3 hours each time at the MVD over on Rio Bravo just for the females to turn out to be bitches and for them to charge me more than what they should have. I went to the MVD Express on Menaul past Carlisle...and I don't remember if it's past San Mateo and they were awesome. The total came out to 30 bucks less than what they were charging me at the regular MVD somehow. There was a little wait, but not for hours.

Half a year ago, I went to the regular (government) MVD on 4th St just north of the court house, and I was in'n'out in about an hour.

... is the way to go, and I've tried both. You pay an extra fee, but it is well, well worth it. The customer service seems to be a little better, too (like when they had to explain to me all the stipulations of the title, etc) since the Express offices are much more calm (read: less screaming children)

I went to an express on Lomas and San Pedro today, but they don't do licenses. T'was a bust. Then I went to that courthouse nightmare on Fourth Street and my prospects looked very bleak.
Funny you should mention the Rio Bravo MVD bitches ... people at the courthouse MVD were talking about how the folks over there aren't very nice.
