My first visit to Buffalo Exchange will absolutely be my last. Never have I encountered such a lack of customer service and general manners among retail staff. I was also disgusted by my attempt to exchange clothing, including a cashmere sweater, a vintage blazer in pristine condition, a wool peacoat and several pairs of designer jeans. I was informed loudly and in no uncertain terms that Buffalo Exchange does not accept clothing as LARGE as my size 16. After having lost a significant amount of weight, it was discouraging to say the least to have this issue announced loudly to the entire store and all its patrons.
Thankfully, my sister persuaded me to check out The Pink Purple Rhino on Monte Vista, where my items and I were treated nicely and with respect. I will definitely be shopping with them at both of their locations in the future.
I understand that it may not be "hip" to be above a size zero, but perhaps Buffalo Exchange should invest in a Miss Manners course for its employees.
I really hate going into Buffalo Exchange. While they have purchased all the clothes I've tried to sell to them, their lack of customer service and general rudeness is ridiculous. I have heard them suggest that people take their clothes to the thrift store. Maybe it's not what they sell, but what's the point in being so rude? I think they only stay in business because more people don't know about Pink Rhino.
