I just checked KOB.com and yes, Fish and Wildlife now states that they believe it was a cat. Whew...its a good thing that we have a trained force of officials that can differentiate between a bear and a cat. I guess I should now be careful and leash my dog when I hike the Sandias.....or my aarkvark or whatever he is, the DNA tests aren't back yet.
Could this be what happened to the kid in the Sandias? You've gotta admit that was a weird story. Kid attacked by "some sort of wild animal". The father fights the animal off in broad daylight, but they don't know what type of animal it is. Granted, the educational system is a bit lacking here but I know 3 year olds that know the difference between a Bear and a Cat. Perhaps Bigfoot is the "scalp snatcher"? |
