I would like to start by saying that I have the utmost respect for the Pimentel family. That being said, I believe Mr. Pimentel is a little off the mark on some of his comments. When my great-grandparents came to this country, they did everything possible to conform to American ideals. They learned to speak Engilsh, for one. They didn't fly foreign flags in there front yards. They didn't praise a country that they left, because they couldn't make a living. Don't get me wrong, people should be proud of their heritage, but when a child is born in the U.S., to immigrant parents, then grows up sporting a Mexican flag on his truck, there is something wrong with that.(from an American point of view) If for example, I were to fly a German flag in my front yard, how many people would freak out and call me a supremicist? Which I am not....(having three "coyotes" of my own) Nor am I German, just an example. My point is this: Immigrate to this country, then be a part of this country. Quit trying to force this country to adapt to you. You adapt to this country. For me it is not a issue of race, or which jobs "rednecks" will or won't do. It is about doing what is right and fair. By coming here, and staying here illegally, these people be-little the struggles of other immigrants, who have changed themselves in order to be Americans. That is all.
I am simply shocked that any one could/would defend Don. (the Albuquerque naked guy) has on more than one occassion admitted his "love" for little boys. IF Don were to live in any other country, he would be either imprisoned, or hanged. He is entitled to his opinions, just as the "Capitalist" are entitled to thiers. However his Anti-American sentiments are a true example of his hypocracy. The whole "I hate the American Way yet because of it, I get to voice my opinion." There are plenty of us in the U.S. who oppose the war in Iraq, but most of us don't run around naked in the city and preach of how we are so misunderstood, just because we want to have sex with boys.(BOYS not MEN) I am not making this stuff up. I actually watched Don's TV show on channel 27 a few years ago, and couldn't believe the pro-pedophile propaganda. Perhaps some of those who are defending him would like him to baby sit their children.
Perhaps Mr. Crowther should look into the atrocities committed by Isreal in the Palestinain territories, specifically the Gaza Strip, before making statements like this. Isreal is NOT innocent in all of this. If they really wanted peace, then peace would be in place after 40 years of occupation. |
