I grow weary of love songs.

Dude.  [ Thu Apr 26 2012 9:20 PM ]

I think he hides his gold behind that winter landscape painting.

Glad to help!  [ Thu Mar 1 2012 10:58 PM ]

Try it! Support something new! This one is good.

I'm a big fan of Rudy's new breakfast tacos.  [ Tue Feb 28 2012 3:19 PM ]

You can just run in and grab them from under the heat lamps or have the cooks make some to order. Here's what I've learned.

The red chile is great.

The green chile is HOT, but seemed under-roasted when I tried it.

The brisket is a little too smokey for breakfast fare, in my opinion.

The carne adovada is ok, but has nowhere near the heat of Frontier/Golden Pride.

My very favorite, though, is the chopped - just a scoop of their "chopped" meat in a tortilla. It's spicier than you'd think.

I still haven't tried every possible combination. That will take some time.

here's part 2

Carl's Jr. Steakhouse Burger  [ Wed Dec 21 2011 4:13 PM ]

I generally think CJ is about the worst fast food chain we have. Everything is sloppy and wet and they put giant wet hunks of lettuce on every burger. HOWEVER, I tried their Steakhouse burger and it was really pretty good (after I picked off the head of wet lettuce and mealy winter-time tomato slice.) Crispy onions, bleu cheese and A-1 steak sauce. The flavors blended well. I burped up that flavor for a while, but it was nice the first time around.

I watched Insidious last night.  [ Fri Nov 4 2011 10:04 AM ]

I think it's the scariest movie of all time! No kidding. I'm going to buy the soundtrack, too. Creepiest opening soundtrack of all time.

The smoke we're choking on  [ Thu Jun 2 2011 8:30 PM ]

is blowing in from a forest fire in Alpine, AZ.

we have hundreds of grackles roosting in a juniper tree near our house  [ Wed Dec 29 2010 12:37 PM ]

Every night just after sunset they make an incredible racket. It's like living in the jungle. I love that noise, but they are otherwise irritating birds.

and Blake Edwards  [ Thu Dec 16 2010 8:00 PM ]

whose work I didn't entirely love, but he accomplished more than I'll ever even. I loved some moments of his movies, but the overall rockpile was not my kind of joke.
