THE NEW MEXICO GAY MEN'S CHORUS ANNOUNCES ITS AUDITIONS FOR THE 2016-2017 CONCERT SEASON

Join the New Mexico Gay Men's Chorus to sing for the 2016-2017 Concert Season. Auditions will be held August 29-30, 2016 at the Sandia High School Choir Room from 6:30 to 8:00 PM each evening. Sandia High School is located at 7801 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Prospective singers must sign up for an audition during one of these times by visiting www.nmgmc.org/join ad clicking "Sign Up for an Audition to Sing." Auditions consist of: Audition Song (either a prepared piece or a choice of commonly known songs listed on the website); Tonal Memory Test (singing back a series of notes that is played beforehand on the piano); and a Music Reading Test (a simple piece of music that auditioners must attempt. Auditioners do not need experience in reading music, only show a willingness to attempt it). Auditioners will be informed of their membership status before the first rehearsal, scheduled on September 12, 2016. Auditioners who cannot make the audition dates may schedule an audition outside of rehearsal at the discretion of the audition team by emailing auditions@nmgmc.org. The first rehearsal of the new season begins September 12, 2016 and occurs every Monday night at 6:30 PM.
