Unfortunately, Matt Damon couldn't make it back for a fourth Bourne film. Fortunately, Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Avengers) is here to replace him. Turns out Mr. Bourne wasn't the only ass-kicking, revenge-seeking super-spy out there. Renner plays Aaron Cross, a super-powered government agent called upon to punch people in the throat a lot. Series screenwriter Tony Gilroy turns director to helm this reboot, but he lacks the action-filmmaking skills of his predecessors. The film is fun, but can't match the energy and freshness of the previous films. 135 minutes PG-13.
