National Feed America Day

Sen. Tom Udall cosponsored a bill that calls for Americans to give up two meals today and donate to food banks. (Plus you get the two-turkey necks, one-ax effect in the sense that you could probably stand to lose a couple pounds, obese America). The measure passed the Senate unanimously.
Drop off goods locally at Roadrunner Food Bank, 5840 Office Boulevard NE, 247-2052.

when they make it a law. It's just another law. What if you don't comply? Do they penalize you another meal? Or do they throw you in jail and deny you a meal? Will it open up a black market for meals that can be purchased to replace the ones you had to give to charity? What if I'm hungry? Do snacks count?- marisa

the bill merely encourages people to give to charity. Sorry if my language was misleading.- Jenn-tastic

I think I would help if i wrapped up my extra meals and sent them via FedEx....except I'm noticing I'm the only one who enjoys Vienna sausage and Cheez-it casserole.
