Undue Process—In Chris Tugwell's X-Ray, an Australian man is imprisoned for three years without charge, and no one, including the man himself, has any idea what crime he might have committed. X-Ray is based on a true story. The American premiere of Tugwell's play occurs right here in Albuquerque at Gorilla Tango (519 Central NW). The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. through Nov. 19. $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at gorillatango.com. 245-8600.
Butterflies and Zebras—Through the end of the year, the Mariposa Gallery (3500 Central SE) hosts an exhibit featuring work by a trio of talented lady craft artists. Amber Archer makes sherbert-hued raku bowls. Nancy Corrigan makes a family of crazed dolls. And Liz Dineen offers up some funked-out watercolor images. Upstairs, the Mariposa's baby sister, Galerie E, hosts an exhibit of watercolors and collages by Walt Yoder. Stop by and pick up a gift for a relative, a friend or your sweet self. Giddyap! 268-6828.
En Otra Voz—In its inaugural collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the National Institute of Flamenco presents an intricate, stomping, sweaty performance by Yjastros. The troupe will stage a blistering show of contemporary flamenco that remains true to the gypsy roots of the art form. Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. at the center's main auditorium (1701 Fourth Street SW). $20, $25, $30. 724-4771.
