The Santa Fe Opera's 2008 season has closed, but the Metropolitan Opera is just getting started. Given that many—nay, most—of us can't jet out to New York every weekend to take in the Met, Fathom Events offers a gateway to N.Y.C. on a more reasonable budget. Starting on opening night, Saturday, Sept. 20, Cottonwood's Starport and Century Downtown 14 present live HD screenings of the Metropolitan Opera performances throughout the season until May of 2009. Tickets are $22 general admission, $20 for seniors, $18 for students and $15 for children. For a complete schedule of screenings and ticket info, visit fathomevents.com, call (800) MET-OPERA or visit a participating theater's box office.
