Brainchild of local band The Dirty Novels, the Blackbird has been appropriately rock ’n’ rolled with excellent music, black-clad waitresses and a cool look. There are an impressive number of draft and bottled beers, and a few nice wines by the glass, which are fan-freaking-tastic on the back patio. By the way, "buvette" (boo-vet) is a loose French translation for "refreshment bar." Now you’re really in the know. Up front, there's a curved black-and-gold granite bar that’s custom-built for fabulous cocktails—One Up infuses several of its liquors and hand-muddles fresh fruits and vegetables. Leather lounge settees are staggered throughout the wide-open space, staging several opulent but comfortable conversation zones. Top-of-the-line professional pool tables line the back the room. On the food side, a large menu of tapas (kobe sliders and fried goat cheese among them) and more substantial entrées rounds out your evening. The barrel-shaped steakhouse has been a standby for 30 years thanks to its mile-long complimentary salad and soup bar, aged steaks (at a place like this, prime rib is king), and big dance floor that’s always packed on the weekends. Winners of Best Catering in 2007’s Best of Burque Poll. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010) View/Add Reviews [ 1 ] Albuquerque - MidtownAdd a Review Albuquerque - Nob HillImbibeA bar you can smoke in! Imbibe is an über-trendy cigar lounge with backlit smoke-tendril art and contemporary seating. There are hordes of annoying knockoff-clad barflies as far as the eye can see, but the humidor is well-stocked and well-attended by knowledgeable staff, and there’s a rooftop deck (if you can make it up there; there’s always a line). Get there early for the best seats. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010) View/Add Reviews [ 1 ] ![]() Nob Hill Bar and GrillTues-Thurs: 11am-10pm

Nob Hill Bar and Grill boasts meatloaf (crowned with smoked bacon) and burgers (American kobe). Signature cocktails, a few vegetarian entrées, and a comfy but chic atmosphere make Nob Hill Bar and Grill a solid addition to the neighborhood. Exhale has live entertainment, a smokin' dance floor, naughty drinks and jalapeño poppers. Outside of a planet with pink clouds and rivers of chocolate, populated solely by lovely lesbian ladies, what more could a girl ask for? Sun 12pm-12am (subject to change) Albuquerque - Old TownQ BarIn addition to an upscale selection of booze, the cozy and modern Q Bar serves a brief but pleasantly appetizing menu of nibbles and noshes. The dishes are small enough to make good snacks and expensive enough to keep them that way—you'd have to spend more than you'd like in order to really fill up. (1/6/2011) Knuckleheads Bar & GrillThis sports bar on Coors just north of I-40, has got your UFC fix on TV along with some satisfying bar food options. The rack of basted barbecue ribs are juicy, tender and fatty. A mesquite chicken sandwich, served on a ciabatta bun, is tasty. And the oven-roasted turkey club with poblano pepper and grilled onions is a winner. (Alibi Staff, December 23, 2010) Add a Review Add a Review Tijeras![]() Ponderosa Eatery & SaloonRestaurant:
