One of the many little treasures to be found in Albuquerque’s South Valley, Los Compadres used to be a humble, rambling building on Isleta, but has now moved into an old Village Inn on Central Avenue near the Bio Park. On the menu are all of your traditional New Mexican favorites (adovada, menudo, posole) plus a sizable list of real Mexican food, like tacos al pastor , desebrada burritos and bistec a la Mexicana . Garlicky, super-flavorful salsa; crispy chips (both homemade); delicious chile; cheap to reasonable prices. This was a last-minute venture and a wonderful surprise. Go to there.
