Yummi House

1404 Eubank NE (Northeast Heights)
Albuquerque NM
(505) 272-8700
Nearby Theater: High Ridge (See Film Times)
Cuisine: Asian, Chinese, Korean

3.57 rating (14 votes)
With a name like this, is there any doubt what the dining future holds? It is truly the yummiest of houses with Korean and multiregional Chinese fare like Mongolian pork, oyster beef, almond chicken and green mussels in black bean sauce. Throw in some Mapo tofu and soybean paste noodles and there’s something for every taste. The crispy fried wontons stuffed with crab and cream cheese are well worth a trip to the Heights, and definitely order the “happy family.” It would mean a lot to us. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

  • I tried Yummi House for the first time the other night.  [ Mon Feb 15 2010 1:32 PM ]

The staff was very pleasant, and it was clean and well lit. I got the dinner special which was choice of soup, choice of two appetizers and choice of entree. I had garlic chicken, which seemed a little bland to me, but my friend thought was too spicy. It was good at any rate. My friend had sweet and sour chicken, which she raved about. I tried a bite and it was quite good. Of the appetizers, I'd say the chicken skewers were the standout, though the eggrolls were above average as well. The place does a brisk business among respectable-seeming Northeast Heights family types. It was a tad pricey, but I'll go again.

  • I was wondering about this  [ Mon Feb 15 2010 2:58 PM ]

but was scared. Thanks for easing my mind. Not so good, though, is the Icky Palace. Am I right?

  • Simply delicious...  [ Sat Feb 20 2010 4:51 PM ]

I went to Yummy House for the first time the other day and damn was it good. I think it was probably the best and most reasonably price Chinese food I have had in Albuquerque in a very long time. The wait staff is extremely nice and the prices aren't bad for the amount of food you get ($8-$12 per plate for dinner) which the entrees are enough for two people to share. I would definitely recommend this place if your are looking for a new Chinese food eatery here in town.

  • We live nearby  [ Wed Feb 24 2010 7:18 PM ]

We live nearby, and often stop in. It is one of our favorites, and that out of an area with lots of eateries. Take out or dine in -- it's great. I had the stomach flu for a week, and for that week the only food I wanted / could hold down was their egg-drop soup. The waiter remembered and asked my husband each night (after the first two) if I was feeling better. I came in myself the first two nights, then started sending husband when I got worse. It makes you feel special when someone you only see once a month remembers you.
