The Barley Room is a watering hole in the far Northeast Heights that fills patrons up with live music, lots of libations and a surprisingly ample menu. Snack on bar-friendly fried things (say yes to the sweet potato fries!), or have a proper meal with burgers, salads, pasta, New Mexican dishes and a few grilled meat and fish entrées. There’s a palpable sports bar feel to the place, but a diverse clientele keeps this bar/grill comfortable for just about everyone. If you find yourself in the far NE heights and needing a hidey hole, you couldn't do much better.
It's tucked into a strip on the SE corner of Eubank & Spain with a nice patio from which to catch the sunset, without the traffic noise.
Good pub food - I had the Huevos Rancheros on a Sunday and I can honestly say it's some of the best in the city. None of those crappy cube potatoes so many places serve, and red chile that grabs your balls while the green knocks you right between the eyes. Big big portion, too.
Tons of fizzy tap beer, nice people. Gonna make it a Sunday regular.

This bar has a great patio and indoor seating. Whether you come for drinks or food, this bar has both. This bar features a full menu with New Mexican, pasta, burgers, steaks, and appetizers. The bar has over 20 different beers on tap, including: domestics, imports, and seasonal beers. I was also impressed by the spirits, especially the Scotch and Tequila collections. Not only is this bar great for food and drink, they also entertain by hosting: karaoke, DJ's, and live music throughout the week.I have had nothing but good times when visiting.
