Lupe’s Antojitos and Mexican Food¡Que viva Lupe! Countless pleasures await you in this lovely, if uncomfortably hot in the summer, watermelon-red casita on Zuni. The relleno is the best in town—nice and plump, encased in the barest hint of batter. In the Mexican tradition, Lupe’s makes its rellenos with fruity and moist poblano peppers, stuffed with gooey, melted white cheese, then topped off with a zesty tomato-based red sauce. There are also incredible roasted lamb and goat dishes like the crackling plato de barbacoa and transportive birria de chivo stew.
