Mick’s offers excellent value for your dollar. The dining room is no-frills and the menu selections are also basic, but it's done right. Breakfast is served all day alongside New Mexican fare like wrist-sized enchiladas, fat, moist tamales and beyond-tender carne adovada. The service is lightning-quick. And the chile? The red has a nice red-orange color and a medium heat. The green's even better with a beautiful emerald color, a warm, fruity taste, medium heat and just enough body. Frito pie has pride of place on the menu, but best of all, the bill won't burn you. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

You can buy jars of Mick's red and green chile [ Thu Dec 4 2008 1:38 PM ]

both at Mick's and in grocery stores (Albertson's on Eubank, anyway). Last night I had leftover mashed potatoes with Mick's red chile instead of gravy - delicious.

that if you think you're going to pop in and get a little breakfast burrito to eat while you're driving to work, think again. Their burritos are enormous and swimming in a sea of chile. It's a big, sloppy mess-in-a-box and enough to feed two people. Good, though.

and not then. My horrific experience with the dreaded too greasy breafast burrito with way too much grease inna burrito expected to contain too much grease anyway esd 10 - msybe 15 or more years ago.
I am aware that things change in time and I can route my passage to work to drive raht too a pop ' n taco [sic], so mebbe an kin check her aht.

Get off your ass and head up to this place right away. Try to get there before 11 B-cuz all of the locals friggin JAM this place, yes Martha, they are-in-the know-whut-is-good. Service is excellent, prices are reasonable, this place blows the sox off the so-called competition. This place is in my top 10. Hours 7-2

and thought it was a little heavy. Gobs of cheese and grease. Huge portions. The red chile was tasty but heavy, and not very hot. Certainly not bad, but not in the top ten for me.
