Downtown’s circle of Asian restaurants widens with Sushi Hana, a straight-shooting sushi joint with some Korean influences (it’s from the former owner of Yen Ching). Small and boldly decked in red and black, you’ll find affordable, familiar rolls in a contemporary atmosphere. Great for a quick lunch or a half-price sushi happy-hour trip (served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. weekdays). (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

  • Not Impressed and Not coming back  [ Thu Mar 12 2009 1:33 PM ]

I work downtown and love to go to sushi king, but we decieded to try something new! I have been eating sushi since I was a little girl as my family is from Hawaii, so I could live off of it and be quite satisfied! Now, I understand that sushi is expensive, but I have never felt so ripped off in my life. How about two bites of seaweed salad that comes out in a condiment bowl and nigiri that is 4.00 for two pieces, literally and it was quite fishy. I spent $12.00 on lunch and had to come back to the office and eat my packed lunch that I had originally decieded to ditch for sushi! The service was awful, we came in and she stared at us like we were invading her territory rather than greeting us with a friendly face. Very Cold service throughout the meal and toward the end she than proceded to keep attempting to take my co-workers plate, while she kept saying "no". There was one other table taken in the place. so I'm sure she wasn't needing the open table right away. I will never return to this restaraunt and will tell all my friends to spend their money at somewhere worth while. Great suggestions: Sushi King, Japengo, Azuma, Mr. Sushi, I love Sushi, Samurai! Anyplace would be better for the quality and the quantity!

    Great seaweed salad and rolls.

Will come back only if my bf pays... :)
