Woodward's State

Some of us around the office are getting a little antsy to read Bob Woodward's new book, State of Denial--the third in a series of portraits of George Bush and his presidency. We're still waiting for our copies to arrive. If you're like us, or if you already have a copy and would be interested in a little reading guide, Slate published a useful article by John Dickerson yesterday that encapsulates some of the "juiciest" parts of Woodward's book. Not recommended for bedtime reading--unless, of course, you want to have nightmares about Condi Rice giving Donald Rumsfeld a lap dance. Yech. (That, by the way, doesn’t actually happen in the book--it’s just a thoroughly nauseating thought.)
