Chance of Rain

The forecast indicated there might be “isolated showers” with a “30-percent chance of rain.” On the way to the access points for the Ojito Wilderness, the road was sloppy and slick, so it hadn’t been too long since the last downpour. Our little Corolla fish-tailed for miles, till eventually we found a good place just off the road to set up camp. Got the tents up along with a little tarp shelter, then it started to rain ... for six straight hours. We managed to stay dry, though, and had a good time. The clouds cleared away at 2 a.m. or so, and the next day was so hot I wouldn’t have minded some more storminess. Here are some pics.
