More Shattered Glass

Oh, mama. I wish I had nightmares about ax-wielding psychos in hockey masks. That sounds kind of relaxing. Instead, I have nightmares about the kind of thing that’s happening right now to The New Republic’s editorial staff. Maybe someday it will be turned into a movie called Kill Me Now, The Sequel. (If you want to see a good horror movie, rent Shattered Glass.) For now, all we can do is wait to see where the pieces fall. Here’s The New Republic’s latest statement in defense of its “Baghdad Diaries.” Here’s The Weekly Standard’s post claiming that the author of the “Baghdad Diaries” signed a sworn statement that his assertions in the column were greatly exaggerated or outright false.
