NBA Playoffs Approaching

With just a couple days before the five-and-a-half month long NBA regular season draws to a close, the Los Angeles Lakers have the top seed in the West, while Boston clinched the top spot in the East weeks ago.

Only two-and-a-half games separate the Lakers from the sixth seeded Phoenix Suns. Things are more spread out in the East and, barring a pretty major upset, the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics are expected to meet in the Conference Finals. Who do you think will rise in the West?

'Topes in Trouble Early

After yesterday's heartbreaking loss to the Oklahoma RedHawks, the Albuquerque Isotopes are now just 3-6 to start the season. Sunday afternoon's defeat makes the 'Topes 0-3 at Isotopes Park, the worst home start in the club's brief history. The Isotopes rallied from a 6-1 deficit to take an 8-6 lead late in the game. But the RedHawks stormed back with three runs in the eighth inning and ended up with a 10-9 victory.
