A DHL truck was making what looks like a left-hand turn onto Central from Sixth Street when it struck three women in the crosswalk. Central is full of Fire Department vehicles, ambulances and police cars. We’ll post more when we know more. UPDATE (4 p.m.) : The injuries were non-fatal but serious for all three women, says Officer Nadine Hamby. The driver wasn’t drunk or asleep— he just didn’t see the pedestrians, she says. Part of the roadway was lit by the sun, and part was in the shade.
