![]() | Advertisers Flee Glenn BeckMore than 30 companies have halted advertising on "The Glen Beck Program." The Fox News blowhard called President Obama a racist with "a deep-seated hatred for white people" in late July. Shortly after, ColorofChange.org launched a campaign to encourage sponsors to cease advertising on Beck's program. Color of Change promotes political action among African-Americans. Advertisers face a dilemma, because Beck's program pulls in more than 2 million viewers a night. That's a lot of potential customers. On the other hand, there could be a backlash from consumers who dislike the inflammatory TV host. They might stop buying products from his sponsors in retaliation for financially backing Beck's show.
