but I've always hated Casablanca. I actually had a romantic relationship back in college based almost entirely on a mutual disgust with that movie. Lasted about three months (the relationship).
My two favorite movies on your list are Metropolis and La Dolce Vita. Is there a new movie coming out about Fellini, or did I dream that?
Buster Keaton's The General might be my favorite movie of all time. Pretty damn close to perfect.

Y, 'Berto, mi compa...what's the purpose of the "...of the decade" qualifier? Your list covers five of them, none of them more recent than the time way back when we both were skinny and had beaucoup hair!
