The Chinese calendar has successfully reached the year 4708 apocalypse-free. Today from 1 to 2:30 p.m., marvel at all the colorful festivities of the Chinese New Year at the Chinese Culture Center (427 Adams SE). The free celebration, honoring the Year of the Tiger, will include a 60-foot dragon; ribbon, flag and fan dancers; a Lion Dance team; Tai Chi Chuan and Kung Fu demonstrations; and traditional drumming.
