Delicious and Easy Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

This recipe for teriyaki chicken is a free adaptation of Chris Johnson’s barbecue chicken recipe, and similar to Burl Lugo’s spicy chicken.

1) At about 7:00 p.m., put a large chicken thigh in the little crockpot you bought from Walgreen’s for $9.99.

2) Add a little teriyaki sauce. You don’t need much; you only need about as much as you’d put on the chicken thigh if you were going to eat it right then.

3) Cook it on low all night while you’re “sleeping.” In the morning, stir it up with a fork and you have delicious shredded teriyaki chicken meat, suitable for eating on crackers or right out of the bowl. It’s a great way to say “fuck off” to the world. Did I just say that? I thought I was only thinking it.

How can one sleep with the deliciousness of the smell?????

  • It is delicious, it's good for me, it's the perfect way to start the day.  [ Wed Feb 17 2010 2:45 PM ]

Most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again. Then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon.

Yes, but he stole the idea from me. And unlike Michael Scott, I *do* have a butler.

  • just got a new crockpot  [ Wed Feb 17 2010 3:16 PM ]

6.5 quart with actual degrees settings. I'm so stoked. My first use will be a pot roast. My second a pot of beans.

Anyone have any favorite recipes in addition to Nick's? And no, I don't intend to make 6.5 quarts of velveeta and rotel queso. (although that does sound kind of good. dear god.)

As a side note, my father sent me $50 about 10 years ago to by a crockpot so I would put some meat on my bones. hey pops! I finally got it!

Making your own corned beef is really easy and super tender in crockpots. Also, you can store weed in them.

crockpots are great for making ganja butter that you can then bake muffins with. mmmmm (truth be told I could barely handle the high, but they tasted soooo delicious.)

Marinate some cubed pork in Albuquerque Tortilla Company red chile (I mention the brand name just to start a flame war with the Bueno-heads) with about tablespoon of oregano and a clove of minced garlic. The next morning, throw it in the crockpot. There's your dinner.
