Hobo Hookup: Free Sardines!

I left a can of Beach Cliff sardines on the Alibi box outside our office, free for the taking. Sardines are delicious and good for you. Sure, being hungry is good for you, too, and smoking is bad for you, and you can live to be 122 on a diet of only doilies (I think I sat behind her at Popejoy last Saturday), but sardines are awesome and I’ll kill anyone who says they’re not. Try living after I kill you. You can’t. Enjoy the sardines.

Just make sure you get them in water, not oil.

the ones in water are sketchy. I'll give them another try on your recommendation, though. There was a time I thought they all were sketchy.

Once when I was a wee little lad I had a salad at a fancy well-to-do place for mother's day. An odd-shaped slimy object was placed at the top, to which my mother assured me was merely just a slice of bacon. I happily scarfed it down and soon realized it was not bacon but a sardine. Yeah. Haven't touched 'em since.

Unless you're a child with uncommonly premature body hair. Or you're a child that can smoke at least 6 filterless Portuguese cigarettes in one hour. Or you are a Portuguese child (in which case both the prior statements are already true, and you most likely fund your smoking habit by fishing for sardines).
Also, it was most likely an anchovy, not a sardine.
