  • What's with all the animal cruelty?  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 10:44 AM ]

So much of it in the news lately. I don't understand at all. What's the impulse? Misdirected rage?

  • I swear to god  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 11:18 AM ]

if I knew who did that to those rage would not be misdirected. Selfish, savage cowards. They have to assault the defenseless because they don't have the balls to act like real men. Poor excuses for human beings.

  • Not to mention the puppy  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 11:23 AM ]

thrown out the window. I think abusers feel helpless (sorry for themselves?) with their own lives so they do things that make them feel in control.

  • It makes ME feel helpless  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 11:45 AM ]

I want to be able to help protect animals from abusers. But how? It's not a simple matter of trying to educate them. These folks need to be in therapy.

  • Therapy, I guess,  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 12:12 PM ]

    or in jail.

I wonder if the urge to harm animals for no reason—to snuff out life—indicates the abuser is likely to harm people, too. Like what kind of brain do you have to have to do something like that?

  • Some killers do start out with animal torture  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 12:40 PM ]

This is true. Not that you would really want to read it, but there is literature out there from psych evals of torturers and abusers.

  • Well, for sure in jail.  [ Fri Dec 16 2011 12:41 PM ]

Animal cruelty (which includes neglect, let alone abuse and torture) is a criminal offense.
