![]() | A Good Kind of Drag![]() It's been a long time coming. New Mexico's transgender folks will have a place to call their own when the brand-spankin'-new Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico (4100 Silver SE) opens its doors. Its mission is straightforward: to provide support, education, information and assistance to the state's transgender population. Celebrate the occasion with live sets by Johnny Cash cover outfit A Band Named Sue and honky-tonk group The Tumbleweeds, along with a raffle, prizes, food and drag performers. The event runs from 3 to 7 p.m., followed by a special drag show at Sidewinders (900 Central SE) from 8 to 10 p.m. For more on the facility, visit tgrcnm.org. |
