Did they read one of my Haikus on the radio? I know this isn't Haiku form, but I'm not a slave.

50 TDs and perfect regular season  [ Thu Sep 4 2008 3:31 PM ]

I loved it man. 50tds, most ever hook ups between a reciever and a QB, perfect regular season. (Even beat my birds with A.J. Feeley as QB) It was so perfect watching them be the kings of the NFL, just to have it ripped away in the waning moments of the Super Bowl. The only team I categorically hate is the Giants, but I was rooting for them last February. So sweet. God I hope Philly runs into them in the SuperBowl this years and stomps their guts out in national TV.

I disagree  [ Thu Sep 4 2008 1:30 PM ]

Simon, sorry about the "regular writer calling in sick comment". I am a passionate Eagles fan, one of the ones who cheers when opposing players get injured and hopes that every hit Brian Dawkins lays on someone will end their career. But I am only hard on the outside, for in the middle, you will find goo of the sweetest kind. (Read my Haikus in this issue if you don't belive me, Rich G.)

Anyway, I totally disagree about McNabb being embroiled in a contreversy by mid-season. I am willing to bet that by the time all is said and done, he will be an MVP candidate. If he does not live up to that hope however, you can bet money that he will be in a Chicago Bears jersey to finish out the last few years of his career.

NFC East miserable?  [ Thu Sep 4 2008 11:45 AM ]

The only team that didn't make the playoffs last year finished at.500. The division is home of the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants, as well as the Dallas Cowboys, who have the most physically talented roster in the entire NFL. The Redskins will probably be marginal this year, but could still end up at or above .500. Not only is the East not miserable, they are BY FAR the best overall division in the NFL. Just wondering, but where did you get the idea that their division was so bad? Was the normal NFL writer out sick?
