I watched a spider build a web from scratch, start to finish one day. Classic orb weaver. About half way through a fly got stuck in the web, and the spider went over a wrapped it up where it was at, then continued w the rest of the web. When it was done, it went to the center and started plucking strands w it's legs. On one pluck the wrapped fly shook, and the spider went out and got it, brought it back to the center for dinner.
Seems like they are saying walking is as good for you as running, as long as you walk three times as long/far, or walk as fast as you run... Pizza is health food as long as there is something green on it too. Last edited [4/9/13 12:42 PM]

The BCSO is having a no questions asked safe gun buy back today. Just got $150 for a genuine Saturday Night Special from Detroit, about six times it's value, if it had any. One gun off the street, only 299,999,999 to go!
I was watching a cat watch a rabbit when a coyote rushed up and jumped on the cat. They wrestled a bit and the cat made a dash up a tree. The coyote trotted off. Then I looked around to see what was watching me...

That's pretty much SOP in NYC now, at least in the high crime neighborhoods. They just look different when they do it (no rifles and SWAT gear). It has reduced crime drastically. It has drawn some complaints for not being "fair". IOW, mostly minorities are stopped. Since mostly minorities are committing the violent crimes w guns in NYC, and the high crime areas are populated mostly by minorities, fair would not be as efficient. IOW, if you stopped the same number of people w a "fair" cross section city wide, you would find fewer illegal guns and prevent fewer crimes. If you stopped as many more in low crime areas, you would double the work load w minimal benefit. But it would make a lot of people feel better about it.
Reminds me of the Frazetta and Boris covers of the books I liked as a kid. OK, I still like them...
When I was in Switzerland I saw a people (incuding some babes) on scooters w assault rifles slung across their back zooming down the road. If I have my tomahawk and bowie handy, don' need no stinkin' gun! Hmmm... maybe I should open carry my gladius, katana, or broadsword? My bow and arrows? Sling my crossbow over my shoulder?
