Hi Maren - I don't often post comments about stories I've read in publications -- but yours was so amazing... I just HAD to send you a note! Like many people, I was hugely curious about what was going on "up there" in the Jemez during the weekend of the 4th. Without actually making the trek, the only sources for information were the TV news stations, and the info they provided was (as usual) totally useless. It was such a pleasure to 'live' the experience through your eyes. You did a fantastic job sharing your expectations, feelings, and (sometimes harsh) realities -- I found myself totally engrossed in what you had written. When you compared the Rainbow Family's 'free' society with that of the rest of the world... WOW... great insight! So... thank you for sharing your experience thru this article.
