As the Chairman of the Cable Franchise and Hearing Board [Cable Board] for the City of Albuquerque, I would first like to say that I appreciate the coverage that Carolyn Carlson provided regarding the City Council meeting of 10/19/2009. Her comments and insight were very close to the the mark - as the Cable Board intends to continue being a vocal advocate for consumers.
The Cable Board meets every quarter, or as needed, and I would encourage the public-at-large to attend, bring questions, comments, praise, or complaints, but MOST importantly, participate in the process of ensuring that Albuquerque has the finest programming [and locally-originated programming] in the country.
Our next meeting will be in March, 2010. I hope to see a great many of you there.
For more information, and details of the meeting location and time, please contact Carolyn Fudge of the City Attorney's office, as she handles the meeting coordination: 505-768-4533.
