It is good to remember that everyone started somewhere, and perhaps Gov. Martinez will be reasonable when it comes to improving New Mexico's film incentives. I've heard she can't abide the current leadership and won't do biz with the unions unless he's OUT - she says she won't deal with corruption. But I pray she will not punish the entire state just because of one man. The film industry brings in so much business to our state - we are desperate to generate something that will kick start the economy. The film industry's trickle down is essential to our survival. Films increase spending on NM hotels, restaurants, parking fees, clothing, rentals, etc. Plus, we just LOVE seeing our state on film, don't we? |
