Pompous and overpriced  [ Sun Jul 27 2008 6:38 PM ]

I ate here the other night and must say that it was a little too "hip" for my taste. Ambrozia was much better. The food is good, but not great, and for the ridiculous prices I would rather go to Scalo, Zinc or *gasp* Ambrozia if it was still open.

Albuquerque is not NY or LA, so once the novelty wears off we will see how this restaurant does. If the prices came down by 2/3rds to 1/2 then it would be a great place to go, but with competition like Jim Whites, Two Fools, O'neils, etc. which serve similar food for about 1/2 the price, I believe that people will stop going to Nob Hill Grill regularly within the year.

The bar, however, is well done and will probably keep the entire restaurant alive (for awhile).

Terrible Service, High Prices, Good Food  [ Sat May 17 2008 8:04 PM ]

I guess Flying Star does not accept take out orders. I was just hung up on three times in a row attempting to place a take out order. I have been going to Flying Star on an off since it was a Double Rainbow franchise. They do have good food, but with the continued decline of their service, along with the large hike in prices about once every six months, I can find better, cheaper, and more customer friendly establishments in the Nob Hill area.
