CommentsRe: Art News: Best in Arts of 2009
Best of LAND/ART [ Thu Jan 7 2010 9:35 PM ]
Your top art pick probably deserves a top 10 list of its own. My favorite LAND/ART exhibit was Kammer 2.1, the interactive display at the Open Space Visitors Center. It was tucked away in a corner there all summer long. Unassuming as it was, it contained an impressive collection of video art that interpreted our public lands in surprising, weird and beautiful ways. The collection grew at odd intervals, then just seemed to vanish in August. Pieces of it resurfaced in September at the Leopold Legacy Film Series in ABQ and then at the Smithsonian in DC. I hope we get it back someday. |
