Just so you know... You are supposed to tip on that to go order. I can promise you that cashier did more work than you would imagine on that order. I'm not saying to tip the full 20% that you would (if you aren't tipping that much, you need to be for good service), but 10% is a good starting point. Keep in mind that in NM, your friendly server is only being paid $2.13/hour. So, yes, those tips are actually important.

I used to frequent Paisano's on a regular basis. Then a friend and I had a bad experience with the food. My husband and I gave it a try a while back and I remembered why I used to go there so much. Well, they're back on my sh** list. We had appetizers at a different restaurant, but I wanted pasta. Our waitress (her name was Hillary) was not friendly from the get go, but the whole thing just got worse. I ordered the carbonara. My husband ordered a bowl of soup, as he was not very hungry. Our waitress said(this is a direct quote) "Just soup? Really?" I was SHOCKED. Both my husband and I are servers and I would have been fired if I said that to a table. Not only that, but the food was sub par. The cream of butternut squash soup was overly salty with no trace of squash flavor. I was so livid, I asked for my food to be boxed (which I had to do myself) and got the check. Upon talking to the manager, I was even more surprised to find that they just didn't care that the food was bad and the service was worse. Never again. |
