I really loved your piece as it put a real normalcy on Mark and those days. I struggle evereyday with the momories of my organizing in the Akron and Cleveland summer houses, yet cant find any of the rank and file to talk about it. I split out minutes from the march in the Days of Rage, but have a need to reconnect with those I "volunteered with" in the Summer and Fall communes. Also want to remind Mark that Cloward and Pivens Regulationg the Poor and another Columbia Social Work Professor- Dean George Brager wrote alot of the social movements including Alinsky in Chicago and HarrySpecht at Univ of Washington. Would love to see Marks syllabus. He is a good man for admitting we were foolish to get so action fanaction and absorb the woldwide movements propaganda as the bible.
