to me that Beltran's family member called Pearson in the first place, what kind of logic is that?? Someone has a gun in my driveway and the first call I make is to the police, even a non-emergency call would have been appropriate. And then Pearson decides that it's up to him to investigate the situation? Based on what authority and expertise? Maybe I'm missing something here; is he a retired law enforcement officer or president of the Ventana Ranch Neighborhood Watch Assn? I call bullshit. Who knows why Mitchell was running around the neighborhood with a gun but anyone's first instinct should have been to alert the police. If only the national news would pick up on this one and create more public pressure. (And no, I'm not African American but actually a Caucasian female.)
