Today! Urban Farm and Harvest Festival

The city's Open Space program does a lot more than provide landing pads for wayward hot-air balloons. Besides harboring wildlife and hosting a huge range of workshops, walks and art exhibits, the Open Space Visitor Center (6500 Coors NW) tucks a working farm and demonstration garden into its 24 acres on the Bosque. Today’s Urban Farm and Harvest Festival is a prime time to get acquainted. Meet the Open Space bees (and pick up a jar of their honey), watch kids march around in farm-themed costumes, listen to live music and taste local foods from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There's no charge to get in.
