Everybody Here Wants Peace
It doesn't take a historical genius to suss out that the world has had some major blows to its somewhat intangible karma. Whether countries are spilling chemical gases on its citizens or dropping bombs on its enemies, this planet has seen a hefty hand of violence. So it's no wonder that the Balloon Museum is hosting an event to commemorate World Peace Day, which falls on Saturday, Sept. 21. At the museum, people can indulge in all types of activities from Japanese calligraphy to a Taiko drumming demonstration, from origami storytelling to meeting with ABQ peace organizations. And also people can take a gander at some of the newer exhibits being housed at the museum from Children of War to "The Children's Peace Statue." So head to the museum from 3 to 5pm to indulge in some peaceful camaraderie. Anderson-Abruzzo Balloon Museum • Sat Sep 21 • 3-5pm • Included with admission • ALL-AGES! • View on Alibi calendar
