Living Enchantment: Celebrate New Mexico Heritage
Heritage is a sacred thing … well, sacred in terms of identifying with where you came from and how you've come to be. So if you want to embrace a citywide party paying homage to the history of our fair burg, head to a celebration of New Mexico heritage hosted by ABQ Ride at Montaño Transit Center (180 Montaño NW). The event kicks off at 4pm (and lasts till 6pm) and will have a bevy of boisterous activities that highlight New Mexico pride.
Music is provided by Mariachi Nuevo Sonido as well as artworks on display from a wide variety of Burqueño artists and artisans, and a food truck onsite for when you get the good ol' munchies. An event like this is a good excuse to bask in the best parts of living in the Land of Enchantment: a rich history, fantastic music, comida deliciosa and a glimpse of a unique and celebrated art scene that gets better and better with every new generation. The event is completely free, so what's stopping you? Be there or be lost. Montaño Transit Center • Fri May 9 • 4-6pm • FREE • View on Alibi calendar
