All Hail the Feline!: Internet Cat Video Festival

Sleeping in sinks, sitting on the warm buzz of laptops and chasing invisible ghosts in your house are just a few of the magical everyday happenings of cats. With nine lives, cats curiously and often ridiculously maneuver their way into our inferior human hearts by being their damn selves and not giving any fucks whatsoever. Animal Humane New Mexico & the City of Albuquerque Film & Music Office have come together to show love and respect to our most sophisticated family members by hosting the Internet Cat Video Festival.

This inaugural event will feature local film submissions to the competition as well as a reel of the internet's best cat videos, curated by the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Not only will guests be able to watch a bunch of freaking cats being crazy, loveable cutie hunks, they’ll also have the opportunity to “meet adorable kittens.” And the best part? You’ll have the warm and fuzzies knowing your attendance will benefit homeless pets in the area. The festival takes place at the South Broadway Cultural Center (1025 Broadway SE) on Friday, June 26, at 7pm and Saturday, June 27, at 3pm. Tickets range from $25 to $50 for Friday and $7 to $25 for Saturday. Go to for more info and to purchase tickets.
