I ride my bike onto the UNM campus from Central. I meet my boss walking west. He has some suggestions for me. I ride on. Everything seems new and different from when I went to school. I see my boss again, who has some more suggestions. G is waiting for me on the mall with her friends. I am 5 minutes late. We must get to McGee’s restaurant. We ride together across campus. I am able to ride up and down the steps smoothly. In a concrete drain V, people lay reading. In the V, I run over a girl’s stick of butter. My tires start to slip a little. We arrive at McGee’s. The waiters are all well-dressed and there are fancy green and yellow oil lamps on the long central bar. It seems like a pretty nice place for UNM.
