This Look Like a Skirt to You?
Saturday, Sep 10: 1st Annual Celtic Game
A real sportsman wouldn't be caught dead wearing shoulder pads and a helmet. A cup? I laugh at your cup. True athletes need freedom of movement to allow for a full display of their grace and power. Hence: the kilt, mandatory uniform of the First Annual Celtic Games, a competition consisting of nine different events: Sheaf, Weight for Height, Braemar Stone, Open Stone, Light and Heavy Hammer, Light and Heavy Weight for Distance and Caber. Registration (pending available space), is $45. RMSA/SAAA rules will be in effect. Weigh-ins begin Saturday, Sept. 10, and the competition begins at 9am, free for spectators. Rotary Park, Bernalillo • Sat Sep 10 • 8am • $40-$45 • View on Alibi calendar
