Friday, Oct 28: Spreading the Gospel: Graffiti and the Public Space

Graffiti, while sometimes just dicks and circle-A's, encompasses a whole lot more than that. Artists, anthropologists, epidemiologists and historians explore the complexity of the medium in their talk at CFA Downtown, "Spreading the Gospel: Graffiti and the Public Space." Topics include the significance of street-level expression in the Balkans, the history of graffiti in New Mexico (from petroglyphs to Bozo Texino) and the connection between public art and African-American culture. Get evangelized (for free!) at the panel discussion on Friday, Oct. 28, at 5pm. CFA Downtown • Fri Oct 28 • 5-8pm • FREE • ALL-AGES! • View on Alibi calendar
