Saturday, Feb 11: Aliento: Dzul Dance Company

Through aerial arts, contortion, acrobatics and traditional dance, Dzul Dance crosses borders and melds cultures. Bringing together pre-Hispanic Indigenous dance traditions with Mexican and Latin culture, artistic director Javier Dzul has been creating original choreography since 1999. He founded Dzul Dance in 2003 and has since performed all over the world at venues like the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian and the United Nations. This mix of modern and ancient performance graces the stage at the Albuquerque Journal Theatre at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 7:30pm.
