![]() | Who is Jon Moritsugu?![]() Multitalented artist Jon Moritsugu is known primarily for his underground film work. Since the mid-'80s, the Hawaii-born auteur has produced a provocative string of lo-fi, absurdist satires shot mostly on 16mm and executed with a distinct punk rock vibe. Films like Terminal USA, Mod Fuck Explosion, Fame Whore, Hippy Porn and Scumrock have screened at such notable venues as Sundance, Cannes and the Museum of Modern Art. Moritsugu's most frequent partner is his wife, co-writer, co-producer and lead actress Amy Davis. Several years ago, the duo relocated to Santa Fe. In addition to their film work, Moritsugu and Davis collaborate in the lo-fi, post-psychedelic garage band Low on High. It's the perfect band to headline the Alibi's Andy Warhol-themed, movie-and-music-filled Factory Party this coming weekend.
