![]() | Klaus Nomi would have been 69 today![]() Klaus Nomi's work isn't an acquired taste. You hear it and you either love it or you don't. I do. Nomi was a German countertenor with an astonishingly wide vocal range and an out-of-this-world persona. In one of my favorite music docs, The Nomi Song, he is described as the love child of Tristan Tzara and Maria Callas. That's pretty spot-on. Nomi died of AIDS-related complications in 1983.
