  • Invade Syria too  [ Fri Mar 25 2011 8:02 PM ]

I guess we ought to invade that country too, given recent decisions by our Presidents. Amazing, how with the same data available, they make the same decisions. Hope and change. Given the info from multiple news sources, we should have invaded Egypt too for humanitarian reasons because the supporters were murdering protesters. BTW, words like opposition, rebels, freedom fighters, supporters and protesters are difficult to define. This is Hillary's war but her husband couldn't figure out who to attack also, but he got it wrong and had to attack the other side too.

If I was in charge, I would roll back all the foreign aid and stop intervening in other countries affairs. I believe in a Police Department. But I don't agree with one nation appointing themselves as the Police and demanding that other nations subjucate themselves to the whims, political or otherwise, of the more powerful nation.

The American people elected this President to get us out of other Nations, not into more of them. The central initiative of his Presidency was ending wars, not starting more of them. We were stunned two weeks after inauguration when he sent 30k additional troops to Afghanistan. We were speechless a month later when he sent 19k more.

Spring Break with the family was so special in South America that he left simultaneously with our Military running their first incursions into Libya. Maybe he didn't want a lot of dissent. We've heard a lot of that recently from other governments, haven't we?

    Regards

    Mike
